Enlightenment
wisdom cries out
her mighty warnings
understanding sings
her tune as well
everywhere that foolishness
and selfishness can be found
both wisdom and understanding
begin to cry out loud
but we must systematically
choose which one to follow
and by our choice
we either speak
life or death upon ourselves
excellent things await
those that heed their warnings
one must seek out both
wisdom and understanding
for they do not come naturally
if they are found and implicated
they will be more precious
than any earthly desire
gold and silver do not compare
to the value of wisdom and the
pricelessness of understanding
these attributes wait to be found
and once they are discovered
they bring life to weary bones
wisdom and understanding
fill our souls with a supernatural
type of nourishment
as they fuel our souls
with their hearty sustenance
as we embrace these truths
we gain a new enlightenment
we can find meaning
once we embrace the light
for which we were meant
